About Us: Marysville Partners in Education

Our Mission

To develop a framework to transparently communicate the value of investing in our community, engaging stakeholders, working collaboratively to provide educational opportunities that meet community expectations for all students, and promoting the financial well-being and prosperity of residents, schools, and businesses in our area.

Who We Are

Union County is blessed to have quality school districts that provide great educational opportunities to our children.  Schools are one of the key pillars to a strong community and a better quality of life.   Understanding that these opportunities can only be provided by financially sound school districts, the Union County Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) began discussions on how to better understand the financial needs of the Marysville Exempted Village School District (MEVSD).    The Chamber also understands that tax increases impact the residents and businesses of the community.   Over the past few months, the Chamber brought together a diverse team of passionate individuals, called Marysville Partners in Education (PIE).  PIE is comprised of dedicated community leaders and professionals committed to driving positive change and supporting the prosperity we enjoy in our communities. Our team members bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, ensuring a well-rounded approach to addressing the complex challenges facing our educational landscape.

What We Do

Our approach began with developing a survey to better understand our community’s expectations, concerns and questions regarding MEVSD.  With survey responses from more than 400 community members to guide our work, the team began collecting data from multiple sources, analyzing enrollment trends, reviewing financial information, studying educational legislation, and comparing data points to similar and nearby school districts.  PIE is also dedicated to providing a look at all sides of the potential need for additional funding for the MEVSD, and ensuring an unbiased look at the information and data.   We believe in empowering stakeholders with knowledge and information, fostering an environment where every voice is heard and every perspective matters.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Transparency is at the core of everything we do. Whether it’s sharing survey results, financial analyses, or enrollment trends, we believe in providing our community with access to accurate, timely information. We are committed to open communication and accountability, ensuring that our actions align with our mission and values.
